Steel Speed Bump – 48 mm Height

The reinforced steel speed bump with a 48 mm height is designed for environments where conventional rubber speed bumps quickly deform, compress, or wear out under heavy traffic. Built to support loads of up to 40 tons per axle, it is specifically intended for industrial roads, heavy truck parking areas, logistics platforms, and private access roadsexposed to extreme vehicle loads.

Reinforced Steel Speed Bump – 48 mm Height – Up to 40 Tons per Axle

The reinforced steel speed bump with a 48 mm height is designed for environments where conventional rubber speed bumps quickly deform, compress, or wear out under heavy traffic. Built to support loads of up to 40 tons per axle, it is specifically intended for industrial roads, heavy truck parking areas, logistics platforms, and private access roadsexposed to extreme vehicle loads.

This heavy-duty solution effectively reduces vehicle speed to around 25 km/h while maintaining long-term structural stability.

A 48 mm height designed for controlled speed reduction

With a 48 mm height, this speed bump creates a noticeable constraint even for heavy trucks while avoiding excessive shocks that could damage vehicle suspensions.

The design strikes a careful balance between:

  • effective speed reduction

  • vehicle safety and comfort

  • long-term infrastructure protection

This is particularly important on industrial sites where vehicles may pass over the speed bump dozens of times per day.

Steel construction that maintains its shape under load

The choice of reinforced steel is primarily functional. Unlike rubber speed bumps, steel does not compress, round off, or deform under repeated heavy loads.

This ensures:

  • consistent performance over time

  • long-lasting speed reduction

  • minimal maintenance

It is an ideal solution for areas where vehicle weight and traffic intensity are very high.

Two available lengths for flexible installation

This speed bump is available in two lengths: 1000 mm or 250 mm, allowing different installation configurations:

  • 1000 mm elements for continuous speed bump lines across wide lanes

  • 250 mm modules for modular installations or specific configurations

This flexibility makes it easier to adapt installations to unusual road widths or site-specific layouts.

Load resistance measured per axle

The 40-ton per axle load capacity means that even fully loaded trucks or heavy industrial vehicles can cross the speed bump without causing deformation.

This level of resistance makes it suitable for demanding environments such as:

  • industrial platforms

  • quarries

  • port areas

  • heavy logistics zones

Secure mounting designed for heavy loads

The speed bump includes four Ø14 mm mounting holes, allowing strong mechanical anchoring to concrete or asphalt surfaces.

Fixings are not included, enabling installers to choose the most appropriate anchors depending on the ground type and pavement thickness.

Proper anchoring ensures maximum stability under extreme loads.

Optional end caps for a clean finish

End caps are sold separately, allowing the installation to be adapted to different configurations such as road edges, central lanes, islands, temporary setups, or permanent installations.

They help improve driving comfort at the edges and eliminate sharp corners.

FAQ – Reinforced steel speed bump

Is it really stronger than a rubber speed bump?

Yes. Steel does not deform under heavy loads, ensuring long-term performance even in very heavy traffic conditions.

Can it be used outdoors year-round?

Yes. The reinforced steel structure is designed to withstand industrial outdoor environments and weather conditions.

Is it dangerous for light vehicles?

No. It creates a firm speed reduction but can be crossed safely at low speed without damaging vehicles.

Can it be installed on asphalt?

Yes, provided that appropriate anchors are used depending on the asphalt thickness and structure.

Are end caps required?

No, but they are recommended for cleaner finishing and improved driving comfort at the edges of the installation.
