The Viso aluminium tactile guidance strip is a high-performance accessibility solution designed to improve orientation and mobility for visually impaired and blind individuals in both public and private environments. Engineered to create a clearly perceptible tactile pathway detectable by cane and underfoot, it ensures safe, intuitive navigation within public access buildings, transport hubs, municipal facilities, commercial centres and outdoor circulation areas.
Fully compliant with French standards NF P98-351 relating to tactile ground surface indicators and NF P98-532 governing guidance strips, this product meets regulatory requirements for accessibility in establishments open to the public. It is therefore an essential component in PMR compliance projects, inclusive urban planning schemes and infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving independent mobility.
Manufactured from high-resistance grey aluminium, the guidance strip offers excellent durability under intensive pedestrian traffic while maintaining strong resistance to weather exposure, UV radiation and temperature variation. Its structured raised profile provides effective tactile contrast without compromising architectural aesthetics, making it particularly suitable for contemporary environments where both functionality and visual integration are required. The anti-slip surface enhances safety in wet conditions and ensures reliable grip in exterior installations.
Available in three widths – 120 mm, 180 mm and 240 mm – the strip allows adaptation to different site configurations and pedestrian flow volumes. The standard 840 mm length facilitates modular installation, enabling precise alignment along circulation axes and seamless continuity over extended pathways.
Installation can be carried out using epoxy adhesive for a discreet, surface-bonded application or by mechanical fixing with appropriate screws depending on the substrate, whether concrete, tile, natural stone or similar stable surfaces. This dual installation method ensures flexibility for both indoor and outdoor projects while maintaining long-term structural stability.
